About
Hammer, Incorporated was founded in August of 1983 by Bob W. Sawyer. Jim Kelly joined Hammer in 1985 as co-owner and worked along side Bob to establish Hammer as a successful general contractor. Jim continued in his role until his retirement in 2009. Upon graduation from Auburn University, Daniel and Michael Sawyer returned to Monroeville and joined the company in management and ownership roles.
Hammer, Incorporated is affiliated with many industries and companies throughout South Alabama. We are a general contractor that has proven our ability to deliver commercial and industrial projects on time from concept to completion. In addition to employing twenty-eight highly skilled and diversified employees, we are associated with numerous subcontractors, specialist, architects, and engineers in our area. Hammer, Inc. is involved in all aspects of general construction.
Hammer Incorporated is a dealer for American Buildings Company of Eufaula, Alabama. Our association with American Buildings Company dates back to our dealership originating in 1986. Today we enjoy the distinction of being a Golden Eagle Partner with emphasis on designing projects with American Buildings Company pre-engineered systems.

Hammer Incorporated is an Authorized Dealer of the American Buildings Company (ABC) and Architectural Metal Systems. These buildings are pre-engineered with over 70% recycled American steel. ABC is also IAS-accredited and ISO 14001 certified which ensures quality with minimal impact on the environment. If you’re not looking for a complete building, Hammer Inc can also retrofit roofs from flat to gabled. Hammer can re-sheet your existing roof with Solar Reflectance sheets.
